At Wild Hope we believe that a hand-up is better than a hand-out. Small loans of $100-1,000 can make all the difference in the world to families caught in hopeless economic circumstances. Millions upon millions of dollars have been poured into Africa in the form of aid, yet so many of our friends are still not able to find a way to stand on their own two feet and provide for their families or the development of their communities.
Understanding that capital alone is not the answer, Wild Hope helps each applicant think through their business plan. We’re providing simple training for small business owners in economic principles and strategies as well as accounting, cost and profit projection, savings, marketing and distribution. As these men and women grow through the dignity of work, their influence in their communities rises. A small variety shop, a dried fruit company, a cattle trading business, a goat breeding program... These are all ways we are assisting African friends create sustainable income and become agents of blessing within their communities.
