Big Thanks to Christian Assembly!

Our team was so thrilled to have Mark Pickerill and Tom Hughes with us for a densely packed visit in February.  Christian Assembly, the church they represent, is one of our significant partners in many aspects of what we do here in Tanzania.  The summer teams that they've sent to serve our inner city kids sports and leadership program have always been incredibly helpful.  Our English as a second language program that runs through this inner city work was largely shaped and launched by Christian Assembly teams.  But CA has been involved in other aspects as well, helping us improve a local primary school in a remote area of Maasai, teaming with us through Christmas fairs to raise thousands of dollars by selling the beautiful products our Artisan project women produce and praying for all we do.

With all that partnering already going on, you would think we'd already feel the love of this enthusiastic body of believers "back home."  We do, it's true!  But we were just delighted to get an up close and personal caring visit from Mark and Tom, the co-leaders of this Southern California church.  With keen eyes to observe, open hearts to receive, sage wisdom and spiritual encouragement, the dynamic duo really gave this team a boost.  And we are so happy that their time among us, with it's full itinerary, gave them a boost as well.  They were obviously brimming with support and passion for what we're up to as they headed home.

This is our big thanks to Christian Assembly for sending us Mark and Tom.  We're forever grateful!
